I have visited Amsterdam twice. But, we have always got very little time to spend in Amsterdam and hoping to go back again for its canal cruise, museums, food, and sightseeing. We spent a couple of hours just walking around the various lanes and canals.

Here is a list of our things to do in Amsterdam within few hours :

1. Walking tour -  The best way to explore a city is on the walking tour. It gives an overview of the city. The canals & flowers here are extremely beautiful. You will be fascinated to see the city and its scenic beauty.

2. Take a Canal Cruise - Do the canal cruise only if you know what it feels like traveling through canals. You will be mesmerized to see the long boats turn around in the canal. it's very enjoyable to watch.There is nothing like seeing the city from a boat.

3. Red Light District - The red-light district in Amsterdam is located at a walking distance from the Amsterdam Centraal station. In case you are going with kids, then it is better to avoid this place. For those who are shy and not too open to realities open up your mind before you go. There were few women sitting behind the windows. We walked around the district during the evening for few mins and we left.

4. Burger King - How can we miss to have some Dutch snack at Amsterdam?  Hence, bought fries, mayo, chili cheese nuggets & coke. We sat at a shady place & enjoyed it.

5. Indian food at Saravana Bhavan - Saravana Bhavan is one spot I’ll definitely be coming back.😊 We were hungry after the walking tour and thought to have some Indian food. This particular restaurant in Amsterdam is brilliant. The "Veg Parotta" & "Choley Bhature" which we ordered was enormous and perfect filling dinner for us.

Things we missed out and would like to go back and do it again:

1. Van Gogh Museum - Since we had very little time, we weren't able to cover all the places over there and it was dark by the time we reached home.
2. Anne Frank House
3. Bicycle ride
4. Don't forget the souvenirs shops over there to buy something memorable. We missed it.🙁🙁

Even after visiting twice, I still find new things to do and see in Amsterdam.
