Aloo Parantha - Aloo ka Parantha - Aloo Parotta - Potato Spicy Bread
I prepare aloo paratha almost every week. I prepare it for my dinner. I prefer to have roti or paratha’s for my dinner than rice. We can simply enjoy this paratha with curd & pickle. You can use milk to knead a smooth dough. Lets see how to prepare aloo stuffing for parantha.
Ingredients :
For aloo stuffing :
- 2 large sized potato, boiled and peeled
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- ¾ tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp dhania (coriander) powder
- salt to taste
- ¼ tsp garam masala
- Coriander leaves finely chopped
- Onion - 1 chopped
Method :
- Pressure cook potatoes for 3 whistles. Peel the skin and mash it well.
- Heat 2 tsp of oil, add cumin seeds, when it splutters, add finely chopped onions, ginger garlic paste, green chillies and saute until onions turn transparent.
- Add the mashed potatoes, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, chilli powder, salt needed and cook for 2-3 minutes until every thing gets blended well.
- Add finely chopped coriander leaves, mix well and leave it to cool.
- Dust a little flour and roll out the dough into a small circle.
- Keep a tbsp of stuffing in the center, gather all the corners and seal the dough with the stuffing inside. Press it down gently to flatten it.
- Heat a tawa and place the rolled out dough.
- Spread a little oil on the other side also and cook both sides well.
- Remove from tawa. Serve with curd or chutney or pickles. Enjoy yummy and delicious aloo parathas.
