Aloo Parantha - Aloo ka Parantha - Aloo Parotta - Potato Spicy Bread

                                                          Aloo Parantha

I prepare aloo paratha almost every week. I prepare it for my dinner.  I prefer to have roti or paratha’s for my dinner than rice. We can simply enjoy this paratha with curd & pickle. You can use milk to knead a smooth dough. Lets see how to prepare aloo stuffing for parantha.

Ingredients :

For aloo stuffing :

  • 2 large sized potato, boiled and peeled
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • ¾ tsp red chili powder
  • ½ tsp dhania (coriander) powder
  • salt to taste
  • ¼ tsp garam masala
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped
  • Onion - 1 chopped

Method :

  1. Pressure cook potatoes for 3 whistles. Peel the skin and mash it well.
  2. Heat 2 tsp of oil, add cumin seeds, when it splutters, add finely chopped onions, ginger garlic paste, green chillies and saute until onions turn transparent.
  3.  Add the mashed potatoes, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, chilli powder, salt needed and cook for 2-3 minutes until every thing gets blended well.
  4. Add finely chopped coriander leaves, mix well and leave it to cool.
  5. Dust a little flour and roll out the dough into a small circle.
  6. Keep a tbsp of stuffing in the center, gather all the corners and seal the dough with the stuffing inside. Press it down gently to flatten it.
  7. Heat a tawa and place the rolled out dough.
  8. Spread a little oil on the other side also and cook both sides well.
  9. Remove from tawa. Serve with curd or chutney or pickles. Enjoy yummy and delicious aloo parathas.
