Chilli Garlic Chutney

Chilli Garlic Chutney is a very spicy side dish prepared by grinding garlic, dried red chillies & onions.  If you like the taste of garlic then this lasun chutney recipe is a must try recipe for you. it fits me perfectly. This has very long shelf life as well. I hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turned out for you. Today we will learn how to make chilli garlic chutney following this easy recipe.
Ingredients : 

Servings : 3-4
  •    Garlic - 20-25 shallots peeled
  •    Onion - chopped
  •    Dried red chillies - 8-15 (according to your taste)
  •    Tamarind - small sized ball
  •    Oil -2 tbsp
  •    Salt as required
For seasoning :
  •    Oil - 1 tsp
  •    Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
  •    Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  •    Curry leaves - 7-8


 Method :
  1. Heat oil in a kadai/pan and fry the garlic,onions & red chillies on low flame. Once done, remove it from the pan.
  2. Allow it to cool & Grind it to a smooth paste.
  3. Grind everything together by adding salt & tamarind to taste.
  4. Heat a tsp of oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves when it splutters, add chutney mixture to it & stir for a minute.
  5. Serve this delicious garlic chutney with idli, dosa, adai or as a side dish for pongal.
