What would Valentine’s Day be without cake? Eggless Sooji Cake is one of those recipes that I wanted to share with you all this Valentine’s. Well, cake and romance go hand in hand. I am pretty sure you all with agree with me on this. Do you need anything else to make your Valentine's day Special 
Cake makes me feel happy and brightens my mood.. (only if you understand what I mean.. πŸ˜‰ )
And this Eggless Sooji/Rava/Semolina Cake is just perfect for that...
  • It hardly takes any time to make this Eggless Sooji Cake.
  • You do not need Eggs to set this.
  • This is the smoothest cake you will ever have (you guys have to trust me on this and try it for yourself)
  • You can also bake this cake in pressure cooker. (I will share the method soon)
Apart from this delicious Sooji/Semolina Cake that I have made for this year’s Valentine’s Day. I also have one more recipe coming up for you guys in a couple of days. Ingredients :
Servings - 5
  •    Semolina/rava/sooji - 1 1/2 cup 
  •    Salt - pinch
  •    Sugar - 1 cup powdered
  •    Melted Butter - 1/2 cup
  •    Curd - 3/4 cup
  •    Maida - 1/2 cup
  •    Milk -   1/2 cup
  •    Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
  •    Baking powder - 3/4 tsp
  •    Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  •    Tutti fruitti - 1/3 cup (optional)
  •    Raisins - 1/4 cup
  •    Almonds/Cashewnuts  - 8-10 (chopped) 
Method :
  1. In a bowl take melted butter, powdered sugar whisk continuously, till the mixture turns silky smooth.
  2. Add rava, maida, salt, vanilla essence 
  3. Add beaten curd and milk and keep it covered. Let it sit for 30-40 minutes..
After  40 minutes
  1. The consistency of the batter should be of thick consistency. 
  2. Add baking powder and baking soda.
  3. Furthermore, add dry fruits and 2 tbsp tutti frutti, mix well and transfer to cake tin.
  4. Grease a baking tin with butter. 
  5. Scatter few nuts, raisins into the ceramic bowl (You can use baking tray as well) and then pour the prepared batter. 
  6. Tap the tin lightly to settle evenly. 
  7. Sprinkle some raisins and nuts on the top.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree C for 35 minutes.
  9. Remove it from the oven and allow it to cool down well. 
  10. Run a knife around the sides of the cake and invert it onto the plate. 
  11. You can decorate the cake according to your wish. (I used gems & chocolate on top of it)
  12. Cut the cake once it is completely cooled along with your Valentine.πŸ’“πŸ˜‰
