Potato Cheese Sandwich - Grilled Potato Sandwich - Indian Style Aaloo Masala Cheese Sandwich
Aloo Masala Cheese Sandwich
Potato Sandwiches give a different dimension to grilled cheese sandwich. They are delicious and add an Indian taste to standard grilled cheese. Potato & cheese sandwiches are excellent choice for a hearty and satisfying lunch. If you don't have a sandwich toaster you can make this toast on tawa. 
Let us move on to the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 8 slices of white bread ( I have used white bread, You can use any of your choice)
 - 4 medium size potatoes boiled, peeled & mashed
 - 1 onion finely chopped
 - 2 tbsp chopped coriander
 - 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
 - 1 tbsp chopped green chili
 - ½ tsp cumin seeds
 - ½ tsp turmeric
 - ½ tsp red chilli powder
 - ½ tsp dhania powder
 - ½ tsp garam masala
 - ½ tsp salt
 - 2 tsp of melted butter
 - 4 slices of cheese
 
Method: 
- Add oil to a pan & heat, add cumin seeds once it splutters, add finely chopped onions,green chillies, ginger garlic paste to it & saute it till they turn golden.
 - Add mashed boiled potatoes along with turmeric, red chilli powder, dhania powder, garam masala and chopped coriander leaves.
 - Saute everything well till you get a nice aroma of the masala. Everything should blend well.
 - Apply butter on one side of the bread for the crust.
 - Spread the prepared masala in a thin layer and place one slice of cheese above the prepared masala & Cover it with another slice of bread.
 - Toast in tawa on both the sides & Serve Hot!!!
 
- Slice them in small squares and serve them as snack.
 - You may use leftover dry vegetables like Aloo Gobi (potatoes with cauliflower) or Aloo jeera, matar (peas), mash the left over vegetables and follow the same steps.
 - You can also use a multigrain,brown or whole wheat bread of your choice.
