Bread Poha
Ingredients :
Servings - 2
- Bread - 10 slices
- Onion- 2 medium size slice lengthwise
- Tomato - 2 medium size finely chopped
- Capsicum - You can add finely chopped capsicum.(optional)
- Green chilli - 2 slit
- Ginger Garlic Paste -1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Dhania Powder - 2 tsp
- Oil/Butter - 2 tsps for toasting bread
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 2 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves - few
Method :
- Roast the bread until golden brown on both the sides by applying little oil/butter. Cut the bread slices into small squares.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add onions, ginger garlic paste, green chillies, curry leaves and saute until onions turn transparent.
- Then add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, chilli powder, dhania powder, salt needed and cook until tomatoes are soft.
- Then add bread pieces and toss until bread is well coated with the masala.
- Serve hot.You can have this even as a breakfast/snack along with sauce/ketchup
