Instant Wheat Dosa

 I make wheat dosa & it's our favorite. It's very easy to make and also tasty indeed.This wheat dosa is like our regular wheat dosai, but it's quite easy to spread. For this recipe, sour dosa batter is better, if the batter is not had enough sourness, add butter milk or curd. You can make it as plain or with onions as i mentioned it here. If you are bored of usual dosa, you can try this recipe. Below there is a more detailed recipe with step wise instructions for beginners. 

Ingredients :

Servings :4-5
  • Wheat Flour - 1 cup
  • Rice Flour - 1 cup
  • Green chillies -2 finely chopped
  • Curry leaves - few 
  • Salt as needed
  • Water - 4 cups
   For seasoning
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Hing/Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Cumin seeds/Jeera - 2 tsp

Method :
  1. In a large bowl, add wheat flour there should not be any lumps in the wheat flour.
  2. Add 1 cup of water mix it well to make smooth paste.
  3. Now add  rice flour, green chillies, cumin seeds, salt,  add water if required to make dosa batter consistency.  Keep aside for minimum of 5 minutes
  4. Heat a tsp of oil, add mustards seeds, when it splutters, add hing and pour it into the dosa batter and mix well. Now our wheat dosa batter is ready.
  5. Heat the dosa pan pour a ladleful of the batter at the centre of dosa pan and start making dosa in circular motion.
  6. Sprinkle some oil over the edges.
  7. Serve Hot with Sambhar / Chutney!!!
