Bread Pakora or Pakoda is a very famous Indian snack that you’ll find at most Indian street food stalls and small restaurants. Sometimes it is made with a filling mostly of boiled potatoes and sometimes just plain with the bread from your local shop. There is just something divine about coating bread slices and frying them in hot oil, a bite into these pakoras are sure to make your day special. Let us learn how to make Plain Bread Pakoras.
Ingredients :
Servings -2
- 3-4 Bread Slices Cut diagonally into Triangles
- 1 cup Besan/Chickpea flour
- 1/4th cup Rice flour
- Salt to taste
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Oil for frying
- Mix all the ingredients except bread slices & Oil in a bowl.
- Add water and make a batter, it should be just thin enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- Heat oil for frying.
- Once the oil is hot, dip the bread slices in the batter and drop them in hot oil.
- Deep fry until golden brown from both the sides.
- Drain on a tissue lined plate.
- Serve hot with coriander chutney/tomato ketchup.
